Highbay

Who writes this

The vault is only worth the people behind it.

Every answer Highbay gives is grounded in articles written and reviewed by people who have run the buildings, specified the equipment and integrated the systems they describe. Here is who that is.

Designs how people, machines and software share the work on a distribution or manufacturing floor: conveyor, AS/RS, AGV and AMR fleets, the WMS and WES above them, and the shift that has to run all of it at five in the morning. Projects in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain and Canada, from network strategy down to which machine goes where.

Flow rarely fails in the middle of a run. It fails at the transfer: the merge, the induction point, the handoff between two systems specified by different people in different years. That seam is most of what the vault is written about.

Selected work

  • Cube AS/RS turnaround: an AutoStore deployment for a top-five global contract logistics firm, and one of the first integrated cube systems in the United States. Taken on as a recovery from a defective design; goods-to-person at that scale changes who does what, so it meant reworking process and human-machine interaction, not only the equipment.
  • Technology augmentation control tower for a top-ten global contract logistics provider. Assessed 60 distribution centres continuously against emerging technology, so where to automate came from the network's own data rather than a vendor roadmap.
  • Contracted warehouse turnaround for the largest e-commerce fulfilment operator. Re-engineered layouts, processes, staffing and material handling across contracted sites without disrupting live operations.

Founder & CEO, AuraTech Labs

WMS and WES platforms · Warehouse robotics · Systems integration · Digital operations

Came to supply chain technology through operations rather than software: warehouse floors, WMS platforms, robotics and integration work, then consulting, managed services and delivery leadership. That order shapes what he builds, systems an operation can actually adopt, govern and run.

Founder and chief executive of AuraTech Labs, where the work is warehouse systems, robotics, integrations and connected operations data.

Selected work

  • WMS and WES platforms: implementation, integration and the data flows between warehouse execution, control systems and the business applications above them.
  • Warehouse robotics and automation: selection, integration and the operational change around deploying it into a running site.
  • Managed services and delivery leadership: programmes for contract logistics operations.

Contributors

Others have shaped the corpus.

Practitioners across logistics, supply chain and software have contributed to the vault: writing, reviewing and pressure-testing articles in their own discipline.

They are not named here. Much of the underlying work sits under client confidentiality, and contributors are credited publicly only at their own request. What stands in place of a byline is the citation: every claim traces to the article it came from, and every article is reviewed before it ships.

Why this page exists.

A knowledge base is a claim about who wrote it. Highbay's articles carry a citation so you can check the source, and this page names the practitioners behind those sources so you can judge whether they are worth citing. If you want to talk to either of us about the work, contact is below.
